Can i have your views on SWIFT format as per below for presentation period:

48 PERIOD FOR PRESENTATION IN DAYS
21/WITHIN LC VALIDITY

My opinion is that this means within 21 days of shipment, and this date must be within expiry.

Client argues that this means they have up to expiry to present documents. Expiry is in late April.

Hi Pal,

IMHO, it seems to me ambiguos, with the last Swift instructions, or 21 days or within the LC validity.
Ask for clarification the issuing bank, or consider the responsability of said bank and act as you need.
