Dear friends,
i have a question as follows
LC: benef should fax shipping adv to app within 3 days from b/l date
B/L date is dec 20,fax copy show fax sending date is Dec 23, and refused by issuing bank due to "shipping adv sent one day later"

Is the refusal reasonable? i.e Dose the word "from"include or exclude the date mentioned?
i think ucp600 art3 only deal with the situation of determination of shipment period and maturity.

Any comments appreciated.

Dear friend ! Unfortunately I have ISBP 681 not near to me, but please contact the publication - there are explanations about calculation of such time frames. I suppose issuing bank saw the three time period INCL. Dec 20, so 22nd is the third day - 23rd seems to be to late. Other views ? Seasons greetings from Germany around the community Yours LCStudent

but 681 seems no related clauses(about the word" from")..

HI Friends,
particularly for this case we need not to go for UCP or ISBP.sine the clarification for "from"
is given for to caluculate shipment period and maturity date.
here the intention of lc is to say 3days by including the date of shipment(i.e,20,21,22).
