Hand writing on documents shall be acceptable unless L/C prohibits. UCP 600 is silent on handwriting. However, it should be noted that documents completed in handwriting are not best practice in the modern trade.

dear Hussam
Absolutely accepted ,if l/c do not state otherwise,as per art 17 c(i) said that unless document indicate otherwise,a bank will also accept a document as original if it:
i. appears to be written, type, perforated or stamped by document issuer's hand.
if I hv wrong way other comments appreciated.

hi

I think there should not be any problem for the bank to accept handwritten documents, provided the details
are legible and the LC doesnot explicitly prohibit.
However, it will be more outdated to use handwritten documents.

Dear friend ! I agree with Subha1981´s comment - such processing is not an uptodate one.
I see the danger of typo-errors among the docs if not focussed on correct writing the contents.
in case such errors occur documents need a further creation. Why to act so in times of computer and printer ?
Other views highly appreciated. Have a good further time. Rgds LC Student.
