problem with swift field 44e and 44f

Post by jim » Fri Jun 05, 2009 6:31 pm

dear sir,

if we are to issue a LC which allows both sea and road shipment, how we should complete the swift 44 field? should we complete all the 4 fields with relevant data?

is it a multimodal transport or.....?

Hi Pal,

I understand that goods could be transported b y sea or by road, or by sea and by road? So you can indicate shipment from X to Y, than allow the varios possibilities.
Fields in Swift msg and l/c terms must correspond.
Other comments appreciated.

Dear Sir,

the goods will be transported either by sea or by land. we are looking for a unimodal transport. should we fill all the field of swift 44? of should we put decent clause in swift 46a or 47a?

Hi Pal,

you must be aware of the possible transport, so you can put in field 44e,a,b,f the clause "SEE FIELD 47 a" and there explain the possibilities allowed.
Be precise!!!!
