Dear freinds,
to which countries, chamber of commerce refers the phrase "LOCAL CHAMBER OF COMMRCE" ?
could you please tell me the reference (UCP,ISBP, etc)of you answer.

Hi Pal,

A bank must "translate" the applicants' requests in a UCP 600 Language, avoiding to insert in a L/C wordings or sentences that have no meaning. In your post you quote a sentence that is very usual, if you call for a certificate of origin issued by local chamber of commerce , following art 3 of UCP 600 and the successive opinion TA652rev "any chamber of commerce may issue the certificate of origin". If the problem is that applicant and/or issuing bank have no idea of the issuer of a certificate(of origin ,e.g.) it is better to call for ITALIAN / INDIAN /(export country) Chamber of commerce.
