Dear All,

One of my suppliers asks me to put in the LC a CFR/CF for what does CF stand for?

so far i know, CFR/CF has no special meaning. its just same as CFR (Cost and Freight)
the / is very confusing here. i just noticed a good discussion on '/' i would really like to know what would be the case here if CF has some other meaning as well.

Hi,

Can you provide additional information?
Is this in the context of shipping terms?
Have they asked you to include “CFR/CF” in the description of goods?

CFR/CF is actually CFR/CFS and means: CFR Container Freight Station.

In the context presented:
1. CAF cannot be used as is part of freight otherwise should be detailed also freight, BAF - bunker adjustment factor, CAF, THC -terminal handling charge and so on.
2. Logically, CF is redundant being already given CFR
3. The remaing solutions indicated by you can indeed have a meaning for the purpose of this question
Have a nice day!
