Dear experts
Appreciate yr comment to the following:
A) can you give example to the following para in article 6 d ii:
"A place for presentation other than that of the issuing bank is in addition to the place of the issuing bank".
B)L/c issued with expiry place at the country of the
Advising bank
L/c is available with the issuing bank
Docs received at the counter of the advising bank within
21 days after date of shipment but at the counter of the issuing bank later than 21 days after shipment.
Is it late presentation since the availability is with the
Issuing bank?
Thank you very much for yr. reply

Ehm......

Hi Pal,

if the expiry date is at advising bank place(beneficiary's Country)
the presentation is ok if made at advising bank within the expiry date,
but documents must reach the issuing bank .
Other comments appreciated
Ciao

Dear friends,

Here is my example for your question A:

An L/C issued by IB (in China) available with ABC bank in Korea

-> Place for presentation is Korea.
According to sub. Art.6 (a), a credit available with a nominated bank is also available with the issuing bank, so, beneficiary can present document in Korea (to Nominated bank ABC bank) or to China (directly to Issuing bank).
It means that Korea is a place for presentation in addition to China – place of the issuing bank.
