Transfer LC:

How to prevent second beneficiary name appear in the documents as shipper/cosigner/issuer in the second beneficiary documents.

What are the best conditions that we place in the transferred credit to have the above complied?
As a transferring bank/First beneficiary, can we add own our own terms in the transferred credit despite UCP provisions article 38(g), modification allowed.

0r do we need to contact issue to have the amendment issued citing the above points in order to convey the same to transferring bank.

Hi Pal,

not all transferable l/c are , in effect, transferable...
If a credit requires specific certificates, shipment advices etc, that only the first beneficiary must do, they may discole the true producer, that in the future may be contacted directly , excluding the intermediary. A forwarder may help the first beneficiary to produce neutral documents avoiding to indicate other parties.
So it is important to evaluate the implication in wording an l/c transferable.
