Hi,
I m confused about this question
'A bank received a presentation against one of its credits requiring an air waybill. The airway bill presented had an issuance date of 08-Nov-2012 which also included a flight date of 12-Nov-2012 by a separate notation. The credit stipulated the latest date of shipment to be 15-Nov-2012. What is the date of shipment represented by the air waybill?
.
If the flight dt is the shipment dt...... please explain why
.
Thanks

Hi Pal,

Normally the date of issuance of AWB is deemed to be date of shipment, even if a different date is indicated in box such as
"For carrier use only" or "requested flight date". Where a specific notation of the actual flight number date is inserted, this will
considered as shipment date.

dear
According to new isbp 745 h8
Shipment date of airway bill is the issuance date except there is separate notation of the actual shipment date which may be before or after the issuance date

But boxes completed like flight date will be disregarded in respect of determining the shipment date h8b
Please refer to isbp for more clarification

Regards

Flight Dt
