ISBP 745 Pagagraph L6 Is Wrong

This para is wrong:

ISBP 745 L6 A certificate of origin may indicate as the consignor or exporter an entity other than
the beneficiary of the credit or the shipper as shown on any other stipulated
document.

Reason : Certificate of origin generally issued by beneficiary. for example in case of transfer documentary credit. Certificate of origin may be required to show cosignor as beneficiary.

Hi Pal,

it is difficult to understand but we cannot realize how many transactions are paid by l/c.
Trading company buy goods and re-sell them during the voyage from origin to destination.
UCP must cover the most of these transactions allowing same details that are not of vital importance
for the goods.
I think that Customs allow the import of goods that are sold many times, but they conserve the origin,
it is admissable that the true seller it is indicated in one official document, but the true importer bought the goods from
an intermediary. Customs may just check if origin is the same of point of dispatch for some sensitive goods.
