My (importer) LC states the following: "PACKING LIST IDENTIFYING THAT SUITABLE PACKING MATERIAL IS ARRANGED"

bank says this is standard clause. Should I insist on specific packing material to be mentioned.
Goods involved are home decor items

IMHO, I dont see any issue. In packing list you may insert this sentence to comply with l/c terms.
You only indicate that the packing is suitable for the shipped items.
