Bill Of Lading - Carrier And Agent Are Same

Dear all,
a bill of lading has been presented under a credit where indicated that carrier name: ABC & CO. and on a signature Box an agent of the carrier signed as follows:
[signature]
ABC & Co.
An agent of the named carrier.

can we raise a discrepency due to the name of the carrier and agent are same

Hi Pal,

the issue has been resolved by the a.m. opinion, stating that there is no discrepancy-
The opinion is "Where a party signed in its own name as agent for a carrier of the same name was this a discrepancy".
I think that this opinion is still valid, but other comments will be very much appreciated

In my mind, I remember that, ICC published one case related to this matter. It subsequently concluded that it is a compliance. Sorry because I am not give exactly ICC case No.

I agree with them.
I think it's not a discrepancy since the the party have been signed the BL for his own name as a agent for the carrier.
.
