Signed Invoice?

Post by vivian » Sat Mar 27, 2010 9:56 am

can any export tell me, if L/c call for , for example, "Signed Invoice in 1 original and 3 copies"
If the invoice presented in 1 original with signature and 3 copies without signature, OR four copies invoice must be signed , even copies?
thanks

signed invoice

Hi Vivian ! I think this requirement is fulfilled as follows for me personally in two ways:
1.) print 4 invoices on Your company´s paper/stationery, stamp them and sign each of them manually and mark one of them with the/an "Original" stamp.
2.) print 1 invoice, stamp and sign this sheet manually and use the copy machine for three times - and do not forget than to stamp the manually signed one with the/an "Original" stamp.
I hope this clears the matter. Other views highly appreciated, Rgds LCStudent

Signed Invoice

Hi All,

In my view, IF LC calls for "Signed Invoice in 1 original and 3 copies".

1. Then Invoice prepared by beneficiary in his/her letterhead, and signed.
This make the invoice original and signed (manually or what ever mean as per UCP),
for copies, it can be carbon copy of this original.

2. Invoice signed by beneficiary without any letter head or stationery, still it holds as original document, only point is beneficiary name should be as per lc.

1 singed invoice enough

Copy invoice needs not be signed. So I would think 1 signed invoice together with 3 copies without signature satisfy the requirement.

Dear vivian,
as per isbp 681, para number 32,
" copies of documents need not be signed".

Original invoice should sign, if L.C requires.

soma raju.

"Signed Invoice in 1 original and 3 copies"

Original signed invoice in 1 copy and 3 unsigned copies will not be discrepant.

ISBP
32. Copies of documents need not be signed.
