hi
UCP600,aticle28 explains about the minimum risk to be covered between place of receipt and final destination.
why UCP600 does not stress on the importance to show the goods description in insurance documents?
what are the pre requisites that the insurance companies will take regarding goods while providing cover?
regards

Goods description in Insurance docs
Dear Malla
As an insurance document should quite clearly evidence the shipment details that correspond with those shown on the B/Lading (ports of loading and discharge, vessel's name and voyage no. etc) as long as the description is in general terms not inconsistent with those shown on other documents, I would not expect to see it shown word for word.
Obviously it is difficult to generalise as descriptions of goods differ so much between L/Cs and whether or not an extensive description is required.
Thanks Jackie
