Post by elly.may » Thu Mar 11, 2010 8:15 pm

L/C STATED THAT MULTIMODAL TRANSPORT DOCS MUST BE FORWARDED AS FOLLOWS:
44E:YANTIAN/SHEKOU/CHIWAN
44F:ANY PORT OF PANAMA
44B:COLON FREE ZONE,PANAMA

B/L SHOW THAT:
PLACE OF RECEIPT:SHENZHEN
PORT OF LOADING:HONG KONG
PLACE OF DELIVERY:COLON FREE ZONE
PORT OF DISCHARGE:COLON FREE ZONE
A B/L NOTATION SHOW THAT TRANSHIPMENT CARGO FROM SHENZHEN TO COLON FREE ZONE VIA HONGKONG BY TRUCK.

QUESTION:
IS THIS B/L ACCEPTABLE?

Hi All

Port of loading on b/l conflict with credit. secondly i want to believe that the place of final destination: ''colon free zone, Panama'' cant be considered as ''any port in Panama''
other comments welcome

discrepant

considering the given information only, the bill of lading is discrepant to me for two reasons;

the port of loading is not as per LC
the on board notation shows by truck. even if shows by vessel instead of truck, it would not meet the on board notation requirement.
