TO Which of the following case does ISBP para43(e) refer ?
Case 1:Goods are loaded on board vessel “A” from Dublin August 16 and then transported by vessel “B” from Rotterdam August 18 .
Case 2:Part of Goods are loaded on board vessel “A” from Dublin August 16 and the other Part of Goods are on board vessel “B” from Rotterdam August 18.
ISBP43e):
If a bill of lading showing more than one on board notation is presented under a credit which requires drafts to be drawn, for example, at 60 days after or from bill of lading date, and the goods according to both or all on board notations were shipped from ports within a permitted geographical area or region, the earliest of these on board dates will be used for calculation of thematurity date. Example: the credit requires shipment from European port, and the bill of lading evidences on board vessel “A” from Dublin August 16 and on board vessel “B” from Rotterdam August 18. The draft should reflect 60 days from the earliest on board date in a European port, i.e., August 16.

case 1
case 1 is the appropriate here. ISBP 43e covers the bill of lading which shows transshipments. that is vessel B is the transshipment vessel here.
unless otherwise stated in LC, any information related to transshipment vessel has no use in determining compliance. hence there is no reason to take it into consideration while calculating maturity.
for case your, as you mentioned, ISBP 43F applies.

What if only one set of bill of lading is issued evidencing Part of Goods are loaded on board vessel “A” from Dublin August 16 and the other Part of Goods are on board vessel “B” from Rotterdam August 18,then which date should be used to calculate maturity ?
Thanks again for your comments.
