Whether multimodal B/L presented I/O ocean B/L?

Kindly ask your opinions onf the following question. An L/C, issued subjec to UCP600, contained the following requirement under field 46A:
“Full set of 3/3 original clean ocean bill of lading endorsed to order of ABC bank, showing freight prepaid and notify the applicant”
Field 44E: Ho Chi Minh port, Vietnam
Field 44F: Singapore port
.
The bill of lading presented was issued as follows:
Place of receipt *: Ho Chi Minh Port, Vietnam
Port of loading: Ho Chi Minh Port, Vietnam
Port of discharge: Singapore port
Place of delivery *: Singapore port
At the bottom of B/L there is a notation: * Applicable only when used as Multimodal B/L.
The issuing bank quote discrepancy: Multimodal B/L presented I/O Ocean B/L.
Is this issuing bank correct?
In other case:
Place of receipt *: Ho Chi Minh CY, Vietnam
Port of loading: Ho Chi Minh Port, Vietnam
Port of discharge: Singapore port
Place of delivery *: Singapore CY
The discrepancy: Multimodal B/L presented I/O Ocean B/L is still valid.

amazed to see this old so called discrepancy. to answer precisely; this * information is to be considered as a term and condition. there are ICC opinion indicating that singapore port and singapore CY is the same. even if * information is valid, the Bill of lading meets the requirement of article 20 and is therefore acceptable

is it discrepancy not indicating the same place but it is being understood the place is correct
