dear sir / madam
We have received a credit with the following clause;
Air waybill original for shipper no. 01 or 3 consigned to issuing bank, delivery address….(address of the applicant).
Is it possible to have different delivery address from the consignee address?
consigned to issuing bank, delivery address..

awb consigned to issuing bank
Hi Pal,
normally an l/c is calling for am AWB consigned to issuing bank, but goods have to reach the importer warehouse. So the bank will received an advice of goods arrival but, when all formalities are ok, the bank will give to the real consignee(sometime the notify) a release order to get the goods. AWB is issued with a "not negotiable" clause and cannot be considered as a document of title, the latter being a document that can be endorsed.
Other comments appreciated

Agree With
in case AWB is non-negociable and not doc. of title, i suggest that kind of AWB is acceptable.
