hey,
could any one please differentiate between a awb and a house awb?
the credit states "house awb is strictly prohibited",
however on doc presentation, an awb is presented which incluse both house awb no. and master awb no. and is signed as agent for the carrier....
does the above constitute a discrepancy?
awb/house awb

HAWB
HAWB is a forwarder's air waybill,is not usually acceptable because they do not undertake responsibility for carriage of goods.
If forwarder act as carrier or agent of carrier to sign documents, and the documents contains the terms and conditions of carriage as normal AWB,it is acceptable.

awb/house awb
Thanks a lot yangkenn!
anohter case:
a house awb is presented only with the house awb no. inscribed, however the signing capacity is same as below.
would that constitute a discrepancy, or would the same condition with regards the acceptance of the terms and conditions of carriage be applicable.
how do we verify that the terms and conditions of carriage has been accepted, as even in a house awb, the terms and conditions of carriage would have been accepted by the freight forwarder.

However named concept.
Refer to UCP 600 article 23 (a) which read :
'An air transport document, however named ...'
The 'however named' cover all transport document signing in the capacity as Air transport document regardless of the title/name of the document as long as it's content the name of the carrier and sign according to the article.
