discrepant, am afraid
commercial invoice is prepared by beneficiary to applicant, thus by implication should contain relevant details of applicant including, i believe the country of the applicanth however subarticle 14(f) could be evoked

commercial invoice
Hi Orunmila
I disagree with Somarajuballa. I think only the LC Applicant name is good enough.
Please refer to UCP 600 Art. 18 a ii. must be made out in the name of the applicant.
In my view, unless the L/C specified commercial invoice made out in name of LC applicant with address, otherwise I regard only the name of applicant in the invoice is comply with the L/C terms.
Cheers

commercial invoice
Dear,
According to sub article 18(a)(ii) of UCP 600:
Invoice must be made out in the name of applicant[except.....]
hence the name of the applicant is mendatory....Now
if we read sub article 14(j) of UCP 600:
Here the word "WHEN..." is indicative that means where appeared...
.
Since neither the invoice required country as per article 18 nor credit required the same [assume]..It is not discrepancy from my view point.
.
Putting a step ahead will open up another ladder to climb
.
regards
nesar
