named applicant on B/L

Dear all,

Would you please give me your comments for my situation as follows:
L/C stating: TITANIUM TRADING is name of applicant in F50, and
also stating in F47 that:" complete applicant's name to appear on all docs should be NATIONAL FOOD AUTHORITY FOR THE ACCOUNT OF TITANIUM TRADING"
Requried B/L need to notify applicant .
.
On invoice and B/L presented, name of applicant and Notify party appear such as :
"NATIONAL FOOD AUTHORITY FOR THE ACCOUNT OF TITANIUM TRADING
TITANIUM TRADING "
.
Is this a discrepancy ?

In this particular case I don’t think that the fact that the “Titanium Trading” appears twice makes it a discrepancy.

But if it was a different name i.e. in field 50, it said, “SUNSHINE YELLOW” and the BL mentioned:

"NATIONAL FOOD AUTHORITY FOR THE ACCOUNT OF TITANIUM TRADING
SUNSHINE YELLOW”

I would probably quote it as a discrepancy.

The fact that the “Titanium Trading” appears twice does not constitutes a discrepancy.
It can be regarded as a typing error.

As long as the notify party is the one instructed in the credit, I would consider SUNSHINE YELLOW, additional notify party and additional information not contradicting anything and I would consider the document conform.

However for this case the documents should be seen as I don't know if the inquirer wanted the emphasize with quotes unquotes the notify party or the notify party shows:
NATIONAL FOOD AUTHORITY FOR THE ACCOUNT OF TITANIUM TRADING
TITANIUM TRADING
or
- NATIONAL FOOD AUTHORITY FOR THE ACCOUNT OF TITANIUM TRADING
-TITANIUM TRADING .
(the latter being the base for my response)

My best quess however is that the beneficiary wanted to put complete information to avoid any misinterpretation or gap of info i.e:
BOTH: info in field 47: NATIONAL FOOD AUTHORITY FOR THE ACCOUNT OF TITANIUM TRADING
AND
Applicant in field 50 : TITANIUM TRADING.

I think , the best is must asked for issuing bank to make clear for notify party in b/l is as per field 50 or field 47.
