UCP Art 32 - The Beneficiary Fails To Make Fist Shipment

Post by dodo » Sun Sep 25, 2016 6:28 pm

Dear SIr/Ms,
I have a case as follow:
L/C stipulates:
the first shipment: from 01 june 2016- 30 june 2016
the second shipment : from 15 june 2016 to 15 july 2016
as your opinions, if the beneficiary fails to ship goods in the first shipment, could they continue ship goods in the second shipment or the second shipment will be ceased as art 32?
thanks and best regards.

Article 32 would apply.

Hi !
If Article 32 of UCP 600 is not excluded in the documentary credit, then in this case the credit ceases to be available for the beneficiary.
Regards,
Shafique
