Post by Anurag » Tue Jul 28, 2015 2:54 pm

Dear Expert
Pl provides us your expert opinion on below mention case:
We are going to buy from "A" party country "x" and selling to party "C" country "y". We are considering our self as party "b" country "Z" (trader/middleman).
First Scenario: As a trader (party b) we need finance from our bank
Payment term with buyer is: 90% payment will be made on the basis of first provisional invoice. Payment of the net value payable on the third business day after the arrival of the vessel at discharge port upon presentation of following documents: 1. Provisional invoice in one original 2. Full set of original bill of lading. 3. Beneficiary quality certificates.
Transit time from country "x" to country "y" is 45 days approx.
Documents required from "A" party country "x" (seller’s) are: 1. Provisional invoice 90% value of the goods. 2. Beneficiary quality certificate.3. Full set of bill of lading.
Party “A” presented following documents to party B (Trader on middleman) within 3 working days after the date of shipment.
Now party B (Trader/middle man) want to discount the documents from our banker quoting vessel will arrive at discharge port xxx day’s provisional basis + 3 working days.
In light of above please provide your expert opinion to discount the documents.
2. Second SCENARIO will discuss in separate mail: for balance 10% provisional invoice.
Looking forward to know your response.

Not a very good solution under LC

i believe there is a very good solution for this under the LC frame work. Consider having special credit line with your bank where the document under collection will be considered as security
