LC Calls For BL And Multimodal B/L Presented

Post by cdcsian » Tue Apr 07, 2015 8:53 am

A) If lc calls for bl, and multimodal bl presented is it a discrepancy.

B) in addition to the above, transshipment prohibited. Do we disregard transghipment prohibited or we book a discrepancy since lc calls for bl

Are you sure?

Hi Pal,

are you sure that b/l is multimodal? If there is only a place of receipt indicated and not pre-carriage is a port to port bill of lading. Please insert copy in this forum?

However titled , a transport document ,interalia , covering sea port to sea port shipment shall be under ART. 20 of the UCP . So , inaddition to the title of the document pl check whether the functionally the document is a BL or a multimodal doc.
