Same Journey But The Destination Is Different Port

Post by jahid » Sun Dec 07, 2014 11:37 am

Dear friends,

Transport documents evidencing same means of conveyance, same journey and same destination is not a partial shipment. I have a confusion in this concern that if same means of conveyance, same journey but the destination is different port rather than same port. Is it a partial shipment? What's yours comments....

Interesting question

Interesting question. IMO, it would be counted as a partial shipment. Think it like this. Journey starts from Port A. One B/L shows destination Port B and Another B/L shows destination port C. That means, the vessel would first go either to port A and then port B.

Technically, when the ship reaches port B, one journey completed and when it starts for port B, another journey starts.

would appreciate more comments
